St Mary's Parochial Church Council
The PCC met on 11th October at All Saints' Church, Dagnall, following a celebration of the Eucharist. Barbara Morton has agreed to serve as Electoral Roll Officer.
Members have been invited to respond to a questionnaire from Churches Together, who are asking how their organisation can best help the churches of the four villages.
It was generally agreed that the recent Harvest Supper and Barn Dance had been a very enjoyable and successful evening, and those who had attended expressed great appreciation of the skill and versatility of the band.
An extensive report from the Fabric Committee was followed by a decision that the necessary work should be carried out on the Chancel roof at a suitable time in the spring - unless more funds can be raised, work on the north aisle roof may have to be delayed. Since only positive comments have been received about the Pulpit design, the PCC agreed that plans for this should go ahead.
The Fire Prevention Officer will be asked to advise on evacuation from the tower ringing chamber and the organ gallery in the event of a fire.
