Message from Joy - Lent 1
It has been lovely to catch up with people at the events over the past week. Many thanks to the team who organised an excellent quiz night on Monday. It was a really good evening and the total raised so far is £280. There is still time to donate if you wish to do so. The Churches Together Shrove Tuesday prayer and praise time on zoom was a great opportunity to catch up with friends from other churches and to share worship together. And the Ash Wednesday service on zoom was well attended and well received.
The North Chilterns Group Lent Course starts next Tuesday 23rd February. This is another opportunity to come together with friends from St Mary's and other local churches and explore our faith together. We will be reading Vincent Donovan's book 'Christianity Rediscovered' and talking about it in facilitated small groups. There will also be some worship, but sadly no coffee and biscuits unless you bring your own. If you would like to join in contact Nicola Lenthall or look at the website for details.
