St Mary's 100 Club

St Mary's PCC Fundraising Committee raises valuable funds every year for the running of St Mary's Church, Eaton Bray. Money raised by the 100 Club is used to maintain the fabric and structure of our historic church. By joining the 100 Club you can help towards improving the church fabric as well as having a chance to win cash prizes every month! St Mary's 100 Club is a private lottery and is open to all residents from the parish of Eaton Bray with Edlesborough.

As a private lottery you have to be invited to join, you will be allocated a number and your tickets are not transferable. You have to be 16 or over to join.

Each month there will be a draw for 50% of the income. This amount shall be divided between 3 lucky winners. For example, if we have 100 members the income for that month will be £200 and 50% will be used as the prize fund i.e. £100 split into three prizes

  • The 1st prize will be £50 (if 100 members)

  • The 2nd prize will be £30 (if 100 members)

  • The 3rd prize will be £20 (if 100 members)

The more people who buy a subscription - the higher the prize money!

You may have (and are encouraged to do so) more than one number per month.

We would prefer for you to pay by Standing Order.

100 Club

St Mary's Church - 100 Club Rules

  1. The object of the Club is to raise funds for maintenance of the fabric of St Mary's Church, Eaton Bray.

  2. The Club will be run under the supervision of St Mary's PCC Fund-raising Committee who will also administer the Club.

  3. The club is open to all Residents of the Parish of Eaton Bray with Edlesborough and the surrounding area, their family and friends,

  4. Members must be 16 or over.

  5. Members must fill in an application form.

  6. Entry to monthly draws will be by subscription of £2 per month per number, paid in advance. Preferably by Standing Order on the basis of a minimum period of twelve months (£24 per number per annum).

  7. Members may have more than one number. The 100 Club shall not be limited to 100 members.

  8. Subsequent to the first draw in January 2014 additional new members will be entered for the draw in the calendar month that follows receipt of the first monthly payment. Responsibility for ensuring that the subscription has been paid rests with the individual member, not St Mary's PCC Fund-raising Committee.

  9. The draw will be monthly - generally at Coffee Mornings held on the first Saturday of each month.

  10. Winners will be contacted personally by 100 Club administrators who will make all reasonable efforts to pay or post prizes to the winners within a week of each monthly draw.

  11. Names of winners will be posted on St Mary's Church notice board, in Focus and on St Mary's Church website each month after the draw.

  12. The regular monthly prize fund will be 50% of the monthly income - there will be three prizes:-

    • 1st prize = 50% of monthly prize fund (£50 if 100 members)

    • 2nd prize = 30% of monthly prize fund (£30 if 100 members)

    • 3rd prize = 20% of monthly prize fund (£20 if 100 members)

    • The remaining 50% of the fund will be allocated to St Mary's PCC Fabric Fund.

  13. Registers will be kept recording the name and address of each member, the number(s) allocated to them and the subscriptions received from them.

  14. Unless otherwise advised, a member will be deemed to have left the Club if his or her renewal of subscription remains unpaid for a period of one month.

  15. If a winner cannot be contacted, the winnings will be placed into St Mary's PCC Funds after 6 months.

  16. The decision of St Mary's PCC Fund-raising Committee shall be final in all matters requiring adjudication.

  17. St Mary's Fund-raising Committee shall have the power to amend or revoke these rules at their absolute discretion with such reasonable notice to the 100 Club members as is necessary.
