David Millinger

David Millinger began his musical education learning the piano at the tender age of five, later taking up the French horn, percussion, and trumpet. A Music Scholar at his school, Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School, David was also a member of the National Children's Wind Ensemble, English Schools' Orchestra, and the Hertfordshire County Youth Orchestra conducted by Peter Stark, the last of which he was Principal Horn for five years.

As a singer, David was a Choral Scholar at Selwyn College, Cambridge, before moving to Royal Holloway, where he was a Bass Choral Scholar, actively taking part in the choral life of the College. He has been taught by Elizabeth Lane, Sue Waters, Justin Lavender, and Christian Immler, and has sung with various choral ensembles, including the Cambridge Singers, and the Choir of London, under the direction of John Rutter and Jeremy Summerly.

Whilst still a student, David gained experience working as producer or assistant producer on a number of recordings for Collegium, Naxos, and Priory Records, as well as taking on various music administration roles at Royal Holloway. He also conducted the Royal Holloway Chamber Choir.

David graduated from Royal Holloway in 2006 with a degree in Music (BMus Hons), and currently works both at Royal Holloway, as the Choral Music Administrator, and also for LSO Live, the London Symphony Orchestra's own record label.
