Pulpit

Having produced a prototype replacement pulpit for discussion all feedback we have received has been taken into account and new drawings are being prepared for final approval. These will be sent to the Diocesan Advisory Committee for their approval and the grant of a Faculty. Only then can we place an order to get it made. Obtaining a Faculty can sometimes be a very drawn out process, so it may be some time before the new pulpit arrives.

Font restoration

Discussions are continuing with expert restorers to agree the best way we can restore and repair this historic font.

Roof

We have now completed replacement of the lead roof and timber restoration to the Nave, South aisle and Lady Chapel. The Chancel, North aisle and Sacrament Chapel remain to be done and we are waiting for a Faculty to begin this work. Meanwhile, we are applying for grants to help with the costs as we do not have enough money in our Fabric Fund to complete this work.
