Pathlight is a fairly new group whose name is based on Psalm 119:105 – “Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” God has given us His word to help guide us in our lives. Paul says in his second letter to Timothy - “All Scripture is inspired by God ....it corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work.” - 2 Timothy 3:16.
So if you have ever had questions about the Bible such as “But how does it relate to my life?” or “How can I better understand it all?” Well, hopefully our reflection and discussion might help answer some of these questions!
We meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month, facilitated by Chriss Hewitt and Diane Goodwin at Diane's home. Our aim is to be informal and thought provoking, encouraging us in how we can connect with the Bible and what it has to say to us. We hope to look at a variety of subjects from Bible passages to life topics and maybe even some heroes of faith, past and present. Everyone is welcome and whether you are a regular Bible reader or don’t quite know where to start....or maybe just not sure you even want to (!), we hope there will be something for everyone to hear, chat about or just ponder on. There is no commitment to attend every month and dates will also be advertised in the pew leaflet the previous week.
