Eaton Bray Academy visits

St Mary’s has been welcoming visits from staff and pupils at Eaton Bray Academy for a few years, starting with a Christingle service in the church in 2022.

Further Christingle Services in 2023 and 2024 established this as an annual event.  Prompted by occasional visits from several class groups, a full programme of sessions in the church is currently in place for the whole school, from pre-school to year 6. The team hosting these sessions works with the school's subject lead to deliver Christian elements of the RE curriculum. We have also started a singing group to enrich the Christingle Service.

A significant number of students have now been visiting for three years, so their knowledge of the church and Christian faith is increasing.  Some have also brought their families to St Mary’s to look around or to attend services.  They are all very welcome!
