Parish Lunch

This month's Parish Lunch will be held next Sunday at 12.00 noon in Eaton Bray Village Hall.

These lunches offer friendship and good food to people who would otherwise be on their own on Sundays, and anyone who is in that position is invited to obtain a ticket (£5) from Jenny Hewett after the service.

Tickets are essential, because we must know numbers for catering.

A bit of quiet before Lent?

The North Chilterns Group Quiet Day at Redbourn Church on Saturday, 10 February, 10.00-4.00. A chance to have some quiet, some spiritual "input" and some relaxation.

Anyone - young or old - who is interested in joining the classes (without obligation!) is asked to let Malcolm know as soon as possible.

Or if this is something you may be thinking about but are not sure how to proceed, please have a word with him - he will be glad to discuss things with you.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

18-25 January

Our local Churches Together have arranged two special events (in addition to everyone's personal prayers for unity among all Christ's followers).

There will be a United Service at Edlesborough Methodist Church at 4pm on Sunday, 21 January, when the preacher will be Lt-Col Brian Knightley, who has recently taken charge of the Eaton Bray Corps of the Salvation Army.

There will be an Open Meeting on Friday, 19 January at 7.30pm in Eaton Bray Methodist Church, which Andrew Selous MP will talk about "The Churches and Family Life", with special reference to local plans to provide support for family relationships.

Please make a special effort to come along to both of these special events.

Parish Project

Parish Project - Kagando HospitalThank you to everyone who has supported our fund-raising for Kagando Hospital in Uganda this year.

The PCC has selected the Chilterns Multiple Sclerosis Centre from the various nominations received as our Parish Project for 2007, and hopes that everyone will fully support its fund-raising efforts for that excellent charity.
