Harvest Thanksgiving

Harvest Thanksgiving at St Marys Church Eaton BrayHarvest Thanksgiving will be offered on Sunday, 25 September. The produce will be auctioned for the Bishop's Harvest Appeal immediately after the Family Eucharist, and this will be followed by a Harvest Lunch in Eaton Bray Village Hall - tickets (£5) are now available from Val Trantum, Christine Hewitt, or the Vicar. Please make sure that you purchase your tickets by Tuesday, 20 September so that we have accurate numbers for catering.

Gifts of produce to decorate the church for Harvest Thanksgiving should be brought to church on Friday, 23 September, or on the morning of Saturday, 24 September. There will be an opportunity for children to present their gifts at the start of the Family Eucharist.

The Vine Street Six

Thank you to everyone who helped to make this a terrific evening. The good causes will benefit by around £300 each.

Parish Share

A general meeting of the congregation will be held in Eaton Bray Village Hall at 8pm on Tuesday, 20 September, as instructed by the Annual Parochial Church Meeting, to consider the question of our Parish Share. It is hoped that as many members of the congregation as possible will attend.

The meeting will also consider the question of installing CCTV in church for security, and the proposal to erect a flagpole in the churchyard - this is an opportunity for you to express your views on matters of importance before us. If you need transport, please speak to one of the Churchwardens.

Patronal Festival

We celebrate our Patronal Festival (the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary) on Sunday, 11 September, when there will be a special Worship for Everyone service at 10.00am. Please make a special effort to join us so that the whole Family of St Mary's is present for this important celebration.

Family Barn Dance

There will be a Family Barn Dance in aid of Emmaus on Saturday 8th October, starting at 7pm in Eaton Bray Village Hall. Tickets are £7.50 for adults, £5.00 for children, and include a hot meal. Tickets can be purchased from Peter Bennett.
