St Mary's Eaton Bray: July 2004

St Mary's Village Carnival

This year, at the time of going to press, we have repeated our success of last year which will enable us to donate in excess of £10,000 to local good causes.

This is a magnificent achievement made in the face of disappointing weather which caused us to lose at least one of our most popular attractions in the form of the Hot Air Balloon.

North Chilterns Group Annual Service

The North Chilterns Group of parishes will hold their annual service in St Mary's, Edlesborough, at 6.00pm on Sunday 11th July, and it will take the form of a "Songs of Praise" celebration. Everyone from the parishes which make up the Group is welcome to attend.

Mother's Union - Wave of Prayer

Each Diocese in the United Kingdom and Ireland is linked with other Diocese worldwide and pray for each other during these five days.

Eaton Bray joined with Mother's Union members throughout the world, by taking part in the Wave of Parayer on Wednesday 7th July. This was held at St Mary's Church and was led by Deirdrea Ellins. Six members in turn lit a candle and read one of the intercessions.
