St Mary's Eaton Bray: May 2003

Revd Brian Moore

The Revd BRIAN MOORE, Vicar of Eaton Bray with Edlesborough, 1981-92, is shortly to move from St Saviour's, St Albans, to be Vicar of St Peter's-in-Thanet in the Diocese of Canterbury. He will pay a "farewell visit" to this parish on Sunday, 4 May, when he will celebrate and preach at the 8.00 and 10.00 services at St Mary's, Eaton Bray, and the 9.00 service at All Saints', Dagnall. Please come along on that day to wish his well in his new parish. (Our own Vicar will be preaching at the Queen's Chapel of the Savoy in London on that day.)

Worship For Everyone

This month we begin a new style, less formal and family-friendly service, with Holy Communion, on the second Sunday of each month at 10 o'clock. So we invite you to join us at 10.00 on Sunday, 11 May.

Christian Aid Lunch

As part of this year's Christian Aid Week appeal, there will be Hunger Lunch in Eaton Bray Village Hall after church on Sunday, 18 May. A simple lunch of soup, bread and cheese will be supplied, and we ask you to donate (at least) what you would have spent on your normal Sunday lunch, to benefit the world's poorest and hungriest people. Even a simple action can make a difference so do come and join us.
