Coralie McCluskey - Vicar
Revd. Coralie McCluskey was licensed as Vicar of St. Mary’s Eaton Bray with Edlesborough on Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011. She lives in the vicarage in Eaton Bray, across the road from St. Mary’s Church, together with husband Ralph and whichever of the four children, Andrew, Ian, Mary & Elizabeth, is at home! Prior to her appointment to St. Mary’s Coralie was Team Vicar for six years with the Welwyn Team and Acting Team Rector during their recent vacancy.
Coralie is also Agricultural Chaplain for Hertfordshire taking her back to her childhood in Wales where she grew up in a farming environment.
Before her ordination in 2001 Coralie spent 26 years teaching in senior schools in Hertfordshire.
Coralie and Ralph enjoy hill walking with their Jack Russell - Winnie. Coralie is a keen gardener and cook and relaxes reading poetry or at the theatre.
Gordon Gray - Lay Reader
Licensed as a Reader in March 2002, Gordon is married to Christine (who organises St Mary’s Coffee Rota and oversees the Tea Tent at the Carnival). Gordon is now retired from his Business Development roll for a major defence contractor. His various church related projects include:
- Leading worship at St Mary’s and All Saints and in other North Chilterns Group churches
- Chairman of Carnival Committee
- Chairman of Fund-raising Group
- Leading Confirmation Classes for young people
- Organiser of the teenagers house-group, GIFT (Growing in Faith Together)
- Running Toddlers Church
- Ex Officio member of PCC
Catherine Hayden - Churchwarden
Catherine Hayden has been member of St Mary’s church since 1985. She lives in Edlesborough and is married to Martin; they have three grown-up children who were all baptised at St Mary’s and who participated variously in the life of the church as choristers and servers. She retired recently from Edlesborough School where she was a teacher.
Having been a member of the PCC for more than 20 years, Catherine was elected churchwarden in April 2011.
Elisabeth Ryder - PCC Secretary & Parish Administrator
Elisabeth Ryder has been a member of St Mary’s since 2002. She is married to Dave and they have two children who are both members of GIFT Group and one who is a member of St Mary’s choir. Elisabeth’s parents are also active members of St Mary’s, her father being Church Treasurer. She became PCC Secretary and Parish Administrator in 2010.
