GIFT (Growing In Faith Together)
Mission
To provide a regular opportunity for young adults to discuss and explore their faith in a safe environment.
Vision
To accept that the group needs and dynamics may change over time and to respond appropriately.
Aims
- To provide a safe environment in which young people can explore their faith together.
- To offer a variety of formats and meeting styles for discussion and worship.
- To provide the members with Christian support as long as they want it.
- To enable and equip the members to become leaders if they so wish.
In trying to achieve these aims the group expects to:
- have fun.
- explore our faith together.
- enjoy a wide variety of formats and meeting styles.
- try to tackle any difficult questions that arise.
- provide opportunities for young people to take roles in regular Sunday worship.
- provide opportunities to take part in social and community activities.
Information for 2007
Meeting times: On odd Sundays 6.50/7.00pm - 8.20/8.30pm.
Theme for Spring Term 2007: "Ethics"
In previous years, members of GIFT have:
- Acted as hosts of a Fair Trade breakfast
- Manned the Fair Trade stall in church on a monthly basis
- Raised £637 for Water Aid by organising Duck Races
