Reredos in North Chapel of St Mary's Eaton Bray

The reredos in the north chapel is a battlemented stone slab, on which symbols of the Trinity were painted in 1980.

On the wall between the north door and this chapel hangs a hand-scrolled list of the known Vicars of the Parish from the early 13th century.

Some of the early entries are clearly incomplete, and an important development in the life of the Parish is recorded at the foot of the second column, when the neighbouring Parish of Edlesborough (in the County of Buckingham and formerly in the Diocese of Oxford) was combined with Eaton Bray to form the new Parish of Eaton Bray with Edlesborough, and the Church of St Mary the Virgin in Edlesborough was closed for regular worship.
