S.M.I.L.E. (St. Mary's Informal Ladies Evening) meets on the first Tuesday of the month in the evening at 8pm. As it's name implies, this is an informal group which meets at the home of one of the members. It provides an opportunity for young wives and mothers to get together for a chat, coffee, and fellowship. More often than not a speaker is invited and in the five years the group has been running, we have heard a wide range of stimulating topics.

Once a year the members choose a charity which we support and raise money towards and in the past this has proved successful. We have been able to make donations, usually after Christmas, to Keech Cottage, Dogs for the Disabled, N.O.A.H. and this year (2004) we plan a fund raising evening in December in aid of The Chilterns Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre at Halton.

The annual "Carols at Carols" is an evening of festive song, sherry and mince pies, which also raises money for charity.

We are always delighted to meet new members and promise a warm welcome.

Recent speakers who have appeared at SMILE include;
